PA Minister of Religious Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash delivers Friday sermon on PA TV. Habbash, referring to Palestine achieving non-member observer state status at the UN:

“This achievement is the fruit of the blood of the Martyrs (Shahids) who over many decades fell defending Palestine and the sanctity of Palestine. This achievement is the fruit of the blood of Muhammad Jamjoum, Ataa Al-Zir and Fuad Hejazi. This achievement is the fruit of the blood of Sheikh Izz A-Din Al-Qassām. This achievement is the fruit of the blood of the Martyr (Shahid) Abd Al-Qader Al-Husseini. This achievement is the fruit of Abu Jihad, Abu Iyyad, Abu Ali Mustafa, [Fathi] Al-Shaqaqi, Ahmad Yassin, Abd Al-Aziz Al-Rantisi, and Yasser Arafat. This achievement is the fruit of the sacrifice of all who fell for Palestine. This achievement is the fruit of the struggle of great leaders, the fruit of the struggle of Haj Amin Al-Husseini, may he rest in peace. It is the fruit of the struggle of the late Martyr Ahmad Al-Shaqiri, fruit of the struggle of the Martyr Yasser Arafat, and fruit of the struggle and resolve of President Mahmoud Abbas who continued on the path of all those others in order to reach this day….
From here we say to our prisoners in occupation prisons: ‘Hold your heads high. This immense accomplishment belongs to you. You are the ones who fashioned it through your struggle, your Jihad, and your resistance.’”
